The city is known as the “Diamond of the Gold Coast”. Hollywood Beach has a beautiful promenade called the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk that is about two and a half miles long along the beach.
Downtown Hollywood has various galleries, the Cinema Paradiso art-house theater, the Art & Culture Center of Hollywood, the Arts Park at Young Circle, the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project and numerous restaurants and cafes.The Art and Culture Center/Hollywood presents gallery exhibitions, live stage performances and education programs. ArtsPark at Young Circle is a park located in Downtown Hollywood featuring many options to residents and visitors including an outdoor amphitheater. The Anne Kolb Nature Center has many trails and an aquarium.
Hollywood provides easy access to Port Everglades, the second busiest cruise port in the world, as well as the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Over two dozen original works of art are painted on the sides of buildings by select artists from around the world as a part of the Downtown Hollywood Mural Project. The Downtown Hollywood Artwalk is held on the third Saturday of each month from 5pm – 10pm. Visit galleries, listen to live music, enjoy exhibits and live outdoor performances, shop at the Artisan Market that features over 50 creative and handmade items from local vendors and indulge your taste buds at one of the many restaurants nearby.
